Arlene Goldberg
Arlene Goldberg is the President and founding owner of Action Travel Center in Solon, established in 1980. Under her leadership, the agency has flourished, specializing in Leisure, Business, and Group Travel. For the past 20 years, Arlene has become a familiar face on the local WKYC-TV "Good Company" show, where she features the "Hot Travel Deal" of the week.
Arlene's expertise in the travel industry extends beyond television. She has also hosted and produced a one-hour radio show, "Travel Talk," for 10 years across WERE and WHK in the late '80s and '90s, offering travel tips and trends. Additionally, Arlene was a regular on AM Cleveland and PM Magazine TV segments for a decade, traveling the world with TV hosts as their guide and travel producer.
Known for her hands-on approach, Arlene has personally escorted worldwide group trips for her clients. She believes that the best way to book a trip, whether for groups or individual clients, is to assume it is for herself, ensuring every detail is perfect.
Throughout her career, Arlene has been recognized with several "Business Woman of the Year" awards from various business organizations. Recently, Action Travel Center received the Solon "Ohio Business of the Year Award" from the Solon Chamber of Commerce, an organization comprising 500 businesses and merchants. Arlene is also proud of her agency’s A+ Rating with the Cleveland Better Business Bureau.
After over 50 years in the travel industry, Arlene has decided to step back and allow others at Action Travel to take over day-to-day management. Her legacy of excellence and dedication continues to inspire her team and ensures that clients receive the highest level of service.
Arlene can be assured that two of her daughters will continue Action Travel’s longevity, with Lori who has been with Action Travel for 42 years and Ivy for 31 years.
Fun Fact: Arlene’s most fun trips have been escorted groups, for 24 years, to the Cleveland Indians Spring Training Camps in Florida, which has been exclusive to Action Travel. Her favorite travel destination had been Asia, where she traveled throughout, while enjoying the Asia interesting culture and art.
